Joining a gig

You join from your phone’s browser — no app to install. The singer page is /singers/gigs/… for this night. Who you are is your Karaoke Name account (or a guest session on this phone), not a special URL with your name in it.

Get onto the right night

  • Scan the QR at the venue (table tent, bar, or the host’s screen). That opens this gig’s singer page. If the host set a password, a scan often skips the prompt because the code includes it.
  • Gig code — ask the host (grouped in fours on their gig header). On Find Gigs, type that code in search. Private nights are hidden from the map and list; the code or QR is how you get in.
  • Find Gigs — header Singers, or Find Gigs in the account menu (/singers/gigs). The heading is Find Your Stage. Search venue, host, music type, or gig code. Filters: All, Live Now, Tonight, Weekend, Near Me. Tap Join this gig.

If the night needs an account and you are not signed in, Find Gigs may send you to Create Free Profile first. A QR scan opens the singer page and shows Sign In to Request Songs. Hosts printing table tents: How to print and display your QR codes.

Password

If you see Password Required, enter the password the host gave you and tap Join Gig. Closing that prompt goes back to Find Gigs.

Sign in or join as a guest

Many nights ask you to sign in. You’ll see Sign In to Request Songs:

  • Log In — existing account
  • Sign Up Free — no credit card

First time, you set a stage name (What should we call you? then Join Gig). That name is what the host sees on the queue.

Some nights let you request without an account (the host setting is Allow Unregistered Singers). Guest sessions do not get phone push. If you started as a guest, sign up on the same phone so tonight’s requests stay with you.

Signed-in accounts can open Sign-in & security in the account menu (/profile/security) to see where you're signed in and sign out everywhere. Guest sessions are this device only — they do not appear there.

Request a song

When the night is taking songs, tap Request a Song (bottom bar on a phone; side panel on a laptop).

  1. Your Name — required. Locked to your profile when you are signed in.
  2. Anyone Joining You? — optional duet or group names.
  3. Song Title — type to search the songbook, or tap Browse next to the field for titles A–Z. Some nights require a catalogue pick (no free typing). Leading punctuation is ignored, then A, An, or The (The Chain is under C). On Browse, Song, artist, or a few words filters the list (close spellings still match).
  4. Artist — optional; search works here too, or tap Browse next to Artist for artists A–Z, then that artist’s songs. Same filing (The Beatles is under B). Browse has the same filter.
  5. Song Book Code, Key Preference, and Notes for the KJ — only if you need them.
  6. Join Queue.

You’ll see Request Sent! Then Add Another Song or Done. Requests land in the host’s Request Pool — they choose when you move into the Active Queue. That is normal; you are not skipped.

Your Setlist is your upcoming songs. Sung tonight is what you already finished. If you see Final requests, get last picks in before the time shown. Requests are closed means new songs are off; songs already queued will still be sung.

Cancel request (then Yes, cancel request) withdraws a slip that is not currently singing, if the host allows cancels (Allow Singers to Cancel Requests).

If someone already finished that title tonight you may see Already sung tonight — you can still request it, or the request may be blocked — that is a host setting.

Session Not Started means the host has not gone live yet. You can still request if Request a Song is enabled.

Phone alerts

Push is for signed-in singers (not a guest session) who opened this gig’s singer page and Allowed notifications when the browser asked.

You may get You're up next, You're on now!, Final requests, and Requests closed. A tap opens this night’s singer page. Alerts are per gig — another night’s queue does not get tonight’s pings.

Walk-ins the host added from the booth do not get push. If you joined as a guest, sign in if you want alerts.

Hosts: cutoff and last-call pushes are explained in Request window and singer notifications.

Singer Pro

My Repertoire on the singer page lists songs you have requested before. Quick Request fills the form so you can send them again.

Free accounts see about the last 10 songs. Singer Pro unlocks full history and search: £1.99/month or £19.99/year. Upgrade to Pro / Get Pro is at /singers/upgrade. Your full history is already saved — unlock anytime to see it all. Requesting at a gig stays free.
