Request window and singer notifications

Singers can get a phone push for this gig when they are up next, on now, or when you close the request list. Cutoff and those mass “last call” pushes run from your gig management page — leave it open, or tap No More Requests / End Gig. Other nights’ singers are not included.

Last Request Time

Open Gig Settings (gear on the gig toolbar).

  • Last Request Time — after this clock, singers cannot submit new songs. It defaults to the gig End Time. Set it earlier if you want the list closed while you still have songs to play.
  • Final Requests Notice — minutes before that cutoff when singers see a last-call reminder. Default 30. Set 0 if you do not want that warning window.
  • Accepting Requests — the same door as No More Requests. Off means no new singer requests, even if the cutoff is still in the future.

Creating a gig does not show Last Request Time; it follows End Time until you change it in Gig Settings. If you later change End Time and you have not customized the cutoff, Last Request Time stays aligned with End Time.

Duplicating a gig starts a new night: cutoff follows the new End Time. It does not copy a closed window or last night’s notices.

Close the list (or end the night)

On a laptop, the session chips sit in the gig header while the session is live.

  • No More Requests — closes new singer requests now. The Active Queue keeps running; you can still Add walk-ins. On a phone this is the ban icon (same title); confirm No more requests? first.
  • Accept Requests — opens the door again. If Last Request Time has already passed, Karaoke Name moves the cutoff forward (to End Time if that is still ahead, otherwise about an hour from now) so people can request.
  • End Gig — confirm End this gig? This drops the night off Live, closes new requests, and stops Auto Host. Queue history stays. Need a break instead of finishing? Use No More Requests (and turn Auto Host off if you use it) — music keeps playing until you stop it.
  • Start Session — goes live and reopens requests (same cutoff bump as Accept Requests if the old time is already past). Request-window pushes do not run on a gig that has not been started.

While the window is closing, the gig page shows Final requests period (with the cutoff time) or New singer requests are closed. Singers with the gig page open see Final requests / Requests closed banners (and a toast if the window flips while that tab is open). Phone push is what reaches people who walked away.

Who gets a phone push

Push is for signed-in singers (a real account, not an anonymous session) who opened this gig’s singer page (/singers/gigs/… for this gig) and Allowed notifications when the browser asked.

They do not get push if they:

  • Joined without an account (Allow Unregistered Singers in Gig Settings), or
  • Were added from the booth with Add (walk-ins are not a singer account).

Ask regulars to sign in on the singer page if you want them to get pings at the bar. Host-added names still run in the queue as usual — they just will not get a phone alert.

What each push is

| When you… | They may get | |-----------|----------------| | Move someone to the top of Active Queue (status next — peel, reorder, or Mark as Played promoting the next row) | You're up next (that singer only) | | Start their turn (status singingPlay Track, or the player starting that queue song) | You're on now! (that singer only) | | Enter the Final Requests Notice window before Last Request Time | Final requests (signed-in people who requested on this gig’s queue, including those who already sang) | | Close requests (No More Requests, cutoff, or End Gig) | Requests closed (same participants) |

Copy names the gig. A tap opens this gig’s singer page — not another night.

A singer who requested at two live gigs can get both nights’ pushes. Each one names its own gig. People only on last Tuesday’s queue are not in tonight’s fan-out.

Leave the gig page open

There is no separate “notify everyone” button and no background timer in the cloud. The clock for scheduled final/closed push is this gig management page while it is open.

  • Leave the page open through last call if you rely on Last Request Time / Final Requests Notice.
  • If you already closed the laptop, tap No More Requests or End Gig when you are back — that write is what fans out Requests closed.
  • Up-next and on-now pushes follow queue status as you run the list; those do not need the cutoff clock.

Singers turning on alerts: Joining a gig. Queue moves that trigger You're up next / You're on now!: Running the queue.
